Jesse Llewellyn Horsman Jr., 85, died April 20, 2011, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Washington, D.C., and lived in Sebastian for seven years, coming from Easton, Md.
He retired from the Army as a lieutenant colonel and taught in the Montgomery County Public School System in Maryland.
He belonged to the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of eight years, Mary O’ Rourke, of Vero Beach; sons, Doug Horsman, of Frederick, Md., and John Horsman, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; daughters, Laura Selby, of Silver Spring, Md., and Claudia Hampsher, of Rockville, Md.; sister, Virginia Grier, of Rockville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. April 23 at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel in Sebastian.
