June Allen Alley died on March 28, 2011, at Indian River Estates in Vero Beach.
She was born in Crystal City, Mo., and lived in Florissant, Mo., where she was employed by McDonnell Douglas, now Boeing, for 19 years in an electronic calibration laboratory.
Alley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach and a member at large of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Alley was preceded in death by her husband, Willard E. Alley, Sr.; her stepson, Willard E. Alley Jr.; her brother, Ethan B. Allen and her sister-in-law, Ramona “Rae” Allen.
Survivors include her fiancé, Carl Ward, of Vero Beach; her niece, Pamela Allen Morris, of Portsmouth, Va.; her nephew Ethan Wesley Allen, of Foristell, Mo.; and four stepchildren, Kay Hart, of Valles Mines, Mo.; Forrest Alley, of Potosi, Mo., Bob Alley, of Viburnum, Mo., and Jinny Sachsenmaier, of Chatham, Ill.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Indian River Estates East, Vero Beach, with Chaplain Bill Meade officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Salvation Army or Hospice of the Treasure Coast.
A family graveside service will be held in Springfield, Ill.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford Funeral Home with internment in Springfield, Ill.
