Sarah Elizabeth Corby, 85, Vero Beach

Sarah Elizabeth Corby, 85, of Vero Beach, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at her home.

Corby was born June 4, 1925, in Franklin, N.J.

She was a resident of Vero Beach for 47 years, coming from Oak Ridge, NJ.

She was a member of Central Assembly of God in Vero Beach.

Elizabeth was the owner of the Happy Tavern in Fort Pierce.

She had worked at Mrs. B’s Restaurant in Vero Beach and for Dupont in New Jersey.

Survivors include her daughter Diane Honeycutt, of Vero Beach; daughter Carol Barkwell, of Vero Beach; daughter Iva May Norman, of Franklin, N.J.; son Allen Norman, of Conn.; daughters Patti Baker and Peggy Connolly, of Vero Beach; son Mark Norman and James Norman, of Vero Beach; daughter Penny Kanter, of Vero Beach; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Corby.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach, Florida.
