Lucille L. Sales, 91, died March 25, 2011, at Palm Gardens of Vero Beach.
She was born in Cuthbert, Ga., and lived in Indian River County for 12 years.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her husband, Garfield Sales, of Vero Beach; sons, Isaiah Alford, of Vero Beach, James C. Dumase, of Lexington, Mass., and Ronnie L. Alford, of Tampa; daughters, Maudie M. Washington, of Worcester, Mass., Fannie M. Johnson, of Newark, N.J., Betty S. Burns, of Dayton, Ohio, Edna L. Dumase, of Dorchester, Mass., and Lizzie M. Williams, of Vero Beach; 44 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Anderson Alford Jr., Eddie Alford and William Hardy; and daughters, Lula B. Thigpen and Elizabeth L. Williams.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. April 1 at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel in Vero Beach.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. April 2 at the Church of Christ in Vero Beach.
Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery in Gifford.
