Cordelia B. “Delia” Walbridge, 77, died March 16, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center.
She was born in Toledo, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach, coming from Short Hills, N.J.
She was a graduate of The Master’s School in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., then attended Smith College and Randolph Macon Women’s College.
She was former national director of the Garden Club of America, where she served as treasurer.
She received the Short Hills Garden Club Horticulture Award; was presented with the Garden Club of America’s Zone IV Creative Leadership Award; was a past president of the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum in Short Hills; and past president of New Eyes for the Needy.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, John; sons, John Jr., Stephen, Edward; daughter, Catherine Allen; brother, Thomas A. Baither; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles P. Baither Jr.

A memorial service will be April 13 at John’s Island Club and another in Short Hills, New Jersey in early June.
