Claude “Mort” A. Mortimer, 98, Vero Beach

Claude “Mort” A. Mortimer, 98, died March 7, 2011, at Royal Palm Convalescent Center, Vero Beach.

He was born in Rimersburg, Pa., and was a longtime resident of Indian River County.

He worked in sales for Graber Co., a national window treatment company.

He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach and the Vero Beach Country Club.

Survivors include his daughters, Linda DiGiorno, of Naples, Claudia McNulty, of Vero Beach, Sandra Zorovich, of Shrewsbury, Mass.; 11 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Mortimer, his second wife, Gloria Mortimer, brother, Vincent Mortimer, and sisters, Marguerite Henry, Arveda McCullough and Val Jean Laughlin.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. March 9, with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach.

Mass will be at noon, March 10 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
