Susie Lorene Simmons, 83, died Feb. 21, 2011, at her home.
She was born in Winter Beach, lived in Perry and was formerly of Sebastian.
She was a 1945 Vero Beach High School graduate and attended Florida State Women’s University.
She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and Perry First Church of God, a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, No. 204, Sebastian, No. 098, Perry and recipient of a 50-year pin from Perry Woman’s Club North.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Amos J. Simmons.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Geneva Tice.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 27 at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home with Brother Mike Hicks officiating.
Visitation will begin at noon.
Interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery.
