VERO BEACH – Seacoast National Bank continues its community involvement, supporting the American Red Cross North Treasure Coast Chapter. This year, Seacoast has expanded its efforts with an American Red Cross Friends Sponsorship for the organization’s signature annual event, “An Affair to Remember – In the Mood at the Copacabana”, which was held February 5th at the Vero Beach Country Club. Seacoast’s Sandy Singer, Vice President/Senior Branch Manager of the Cardinal Drive office in Vero Beach, was Entertainment Chair for the event. She produced a “star-studded’ floorshow that included tributes to entertainers of the 1940’s. Attendees danced to the big band sounds of the Paul Hubbell Band.

Theresa Vazquez, Vice President/Branch Manager of Seacoast’s South Vero Square office, is coordinating an American Red Cross volunteer training program entitled “Ready When the Time Comes”, which includes 31 Seacoast employees. Training, slated for late February, will focus on client casework, which would be necessary after a hurricane or tropical storm, for example.  Bank employee volunteers would also address other disasters such as flooding, industrial accidents, or fires.

“Seacoast has established a legacy of support for the American Red Cross,” explained Cyn DeLee Dalton, Vice-President and Regional Retail Manager/Indian River County. “We are looking forward to expanding our relationship with this organization that depends so heavily on volunteer assistance during a crisis or disaster.”

Over the past several years, Seacoast has also supported the North Treasure Coast Chapter through donations to its annual fund, as a Clara Barton Society member, fund raising for Hurricane Katrina victims, and provided volunteer leadership to the Heroes for the Red Cross Campaign.
