Jean Samal Conway, Vero Beach

Jean Samal Conway, of Vero Beach and Lake George, N.Y., died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, at Albany Medical Center Hospital.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Vasil “Phil” and Anna Budnowski Samal.

Conway was a graduate of Philip Schuyler High School, and attended Siena College.

She was employed in the New York Senate working for Senators Howard Nolan and Manfred Ohrenstein.

Survivors include her husband Edward Conway; her son James Conway and his wife Terri; and grandson Spencer Conway, and several nieces and nephews.

Conway was predeceased by her son Michael Conway, her brother Michael Samal, and her sisters Vera Foley, Olga Vivian and Mary Lindsay.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany.

Relatives and friends are invited and may also attend a memorial visitation 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday morning in the funeral home.
