Sebastian’s riverfront to host 10th annual Fine Art, Music Fest

SEBASTIAN – The 10th Annual Sebastian Riverfront Fine Art and Music Festival kicks off this weekend, encompassing most of Indian River Drive and the east end of Sebastian Boulevard.

Nearly 100 artists will have their work on display and for sale. Artisans include photographers, painters, wood- and metal-smiths, potters, jewelry makers and more.

Along with numerous booths to peruse, festival-goers can hang out along the water, listening to live entertainment from the stage.

The entertainment this year is sponsored by Earl’s Hideaway Lounge and includes performances by Winterlings, Brevard Busking Coalition, Nouveaux Honkies, Hairpeace, VilliFi and Nico Wayne Toussaint.

The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Last year, approximately 16,000 people turned out to the festival, which pleased founder and organizer Lisanne Robinson.

“This little show has finally arrived,” she said at that time.

Parking is free and available throughout the downtown area, along with the parking lot at the former Wal-Mart in Sebastian Square, just south of Riverview Park on US 1.

Admission to the festival is also free.

The Sebastian Riverfront Fine Art and Music Festival, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting interest in and appreciation of the arts, and to promoting cultural enhancement within the city and the surrounding area.

Co-sponsoring the event with the non-profit are the City of Sebastian and the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce.
