Col. Maurice L. Mullen, USAF, Ret., 87, died Jan. 12, 2011, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
Col. Mullen was born in Schuyler, Neb., and lived in Vero Beach for 11 years coming from Pinehurst, N.C.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Col. Mullen was a graduate of Central High School, Omaha, Neb.
He later attended the University of Nebraska and the University of Florida.
Col. Mullen earned his master’s degree in business administration from the George Washington University, Washington, DC.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years Marion K. Mullen, of Vero Beach; daughter, Marilyn Miller, of Alexandria, Va.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Col. Mullen was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha Mullen Griswald.

A graveside service with military honors will be held 12:30 p.m., Jan. 19, 2011, in the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
