Christopher Dale Davis, 49, Vero Beach

Christopher Dale Davis, 49, died Jan. 6, 2011, in Vero Beach.

He was born in Pittsburgh and lived in Vero Beach for one year, coming from Davenport.

He was a master electrician, working in construction. He was a veteran in the Air Force.

Survivors include his son, Stephen, of Kissimmee; daughters, Krista and Kelly Davis, both of Kissimmee; parents, David and Patricia Kaye Davis, of Davenport; brother, David J. Davis, of Doylestown, Pa; and one grandchild.

Services and interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.

VERO BEACH — Authorities lifted a 'no swimming' advisory for three local beaches Tuesday after test samples showed that bacteria returned to normal levels, health department and city officials said. The result means it was safe to return to the water Tuesday, Vero Beach city officials said. Man charged in brutal attack on pregnant woman

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 24-year-old man is suspected of beating a pregnant woman with a crowbar, ramming into her twice with his car and holding her against her will for several days last July, deputies said. Joshua Sterling Smith, of Kissimmee, was arrested on a warrant Wednesday and charged with three counts of aggravated battery and false imprisonment.
