Henry Fairbairn, 92, died Dec. 5, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 32 years, coming from Bowie, Md.
He was a retired lieutenant colonel in the Army and served during World War II and the Vietnam War, a member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church, Vero Beach, of the Military Officers Association of America.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Clare; daughter, Laile Fairbairn, of Vero Beach; sons, Stephen Fairbairn, of San Francisco, and Bruce Fairbairn, of Miami; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 9 at St. Augustine Episcopal Church.
