Martin C. “Jack” Lewis, 87, died Nov. 3, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Marion, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach for 29 years, coming from Marion. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II.
He was a personnel manager for Whirlpool Corp.
He was a charter member of the Sebastian Code Enforcement Board, a member of the church councils at Our Savior Lutheran Church and Living Lord Lutheran Church, and a board member at Timber Ridge Village II Condo Association for 13 years.
He was instrumental in establishing the columbarium at Living Lord Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Clarke Lewis, of Vero Beach; daughter, Lynne James, of Houston and Laura Marshall, of Marion; sister, Jeanne Lee, of Greensboro, N.C.; brother, Richard Lewis, of Raleigh, N.C.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the columbarium expansion fund at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 2725 58th Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32966.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 13 at Living Lord Lutheran Church, Vero Beach.
