Alberta V. Caffrey, 83, died Oct. 23, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in Waltham, Mass., and lived in Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from Gloucester, Mass. Before retirement, she was employed by the Grover Cronin Department Store in Waltham, Mass., as office manager and model and as office manager for Homegas Corp. in Great Barrington, Mass., and at Caffrey Ford in Great Barrington.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Grand Harbor Golf and Beach Club.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William; sons, Jonathan Caffrey, of Duxbury, Mass., and Michael Caffrey, of Uxbridge, Mass.; daughters, Deborah A. Novack, of Old Lyme, Conn., Patricia B. Caffrey, of Gaithersburg, Md., Sara E. Smith, of Vero Beach, Jennifer V. Himes, of Temecula, Calif., and Carolyn J. Caffrey, of Chelmsford, Mass.; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 1 at Holy Family Parish, Duxbury, Mass. Interment will follow in Bourne National Cemetery.
A memorial service at Holy Cross Catholic Church will be at a later date.
