Tickets on sale for Indian River Symphonic Association 2010-11 season

VERO BEACH –The Indian River Symphonic Association will kick off its concert season next month with a performance of the BBC Concert Orchestra, under the direction of Keith Lockhart.  This will mark the beginning of a full season including four international orchestras and three concerts by the Brevard Symphony Orchestra.  All concerts will be performed at the Community Church of Vero Beach and start at 7:30 p.m.

The full season schedule is as follows:

Thursday, November 18 – BBC Concert Orchestra with conductor Keith Lockhart and piano soloist Ilya Yakushev.

Sunday, January 16 – Brevard Symphony Orchestra Pops Concert with Christopher Confessore conducting.

Saturday, January 29 – Opole, Philharmonic of Poland with music director and conductor Boguslaw Dawidow and piano soloist Jacek Kortus.

Saturday, February 5 – German State Philharmonic with Philippe Entremont as conductor and piano soloist.

Tuesday, February 15 – Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra with conductor Martin Panteleev, and violin soloist Philippe Quint

Sunday, March 6 – Brevard Symphony Orchestra with conductor Christopher Confessore and featuring pianist Scott Watkins and organist Jose Daniel Flores.

Sunday, April 3 – Brevard Symphony Orchestra with conductor Christopher Confessore and violin soloist Karen Gomyo.

Tickets are available currently for all of the concerts and are priced at $50 each.  Season ticket holders who will not be able to attend a particular concert are encouraged to call the ticket office to cancel their tickets for possible resale.  Ticket cancellations are considered a charitable donation and qualify for a Federal income tax deduction.
