Louis D. Speranza Jr., 64, died Sept. 13, 2010, at his home.
He was born in West Palm Beach and lived in Vero Beach since 2003, coming from Atlanta. Before retirement, he was a network engineer at Bell South for 31 years. He was a veteran of the Army and Coast Guard, serving in the Vietnam War.
He attended the Coast Guard Academy and graduated from Georgia State University.
Survivors include his sons, David Speranza, of Atlanta, and Paul Speranza, of Alexandria, Va.; mother, Mary Cappar Speranza, of Fort Pierce; and brothers, Mark Speranza, of Fort Pierce, and Patrick Speranza, of Homer, Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Cupples Speranza; father, Louis D. Speranza Sr.; and brother, Timothy Speranza.
