Blood Drive comes to Humane Society

VERO BEACH – Get the chance to save two lives by visiting The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County on Tuesday, August 24. That’s where the Indian River Blood Bank will be holding a blood drive for the county’s human residents from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While at the shelter, blood donors are also welcome to meet animals who are seeking new homes.

Blood donors must be 18 years or older (16 with parental consent) and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds. ID is required.

The blood bank will provide blood donors with orange juice and cookies. The Humane Society will provide wagging tails and wet noses.

The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County is located at 6230 77th St. in Vero Beach.
