Charles Matthew Holliday, 86, of Vero Beach, died Thursday, July 22, 2010. Mr. Holliday was born Nov. 10, 1923, in Williamsport, Pa., and moved to Vero Beach in 1970 from Geneva, N.Y. He served in the United States Navy from 1941-1945.He was a welder, employed with
Vance Welding in Geneva, N.Y., and a member of The Moose Lodge in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his daughter, Theresa Holliday Benedict, of Ft. Pierce; son, Louis Holliday, of Scottsburg, Ind.; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and his “luv,” Sheila Rogers.
Mr. Holliday was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Holliday.
A Celebration Of Life will be held on a date to be announced. Interment will take place at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
