Richard S. Magown, 84, died July 5, 2010, at Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Medford, Mass., and lived in Vero Beach for one year, coming from Fort Pierce.
He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. Before retirement, he was a purchasing agent. He was an Army veteran of World War II and Korean War. He received the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey W. Magown; sons, Scott R. Magown of Salem, N.H., and Peter Magown of Dracut, Mass.; daughters, Kathryn M. Brown of Gardener, Mass., and Linda J. Hale of Shaftsbury, Vt.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
