Jay Hart new Director of Development, NTC Red Cross Chapter

VERO BEACH–The American Red Cross North Treasure Coast Chapter has hired Jay W. Hart as its Director of Financial Development.  Hart brings more than thirty years of banking experience to the position along with many years of volunteerism.  Hart’s banking career culminated as the President of Seacoast National Bank in Indian River County and in September 2009 Hart joined Alex MacWilliam Real Estate as the Commercial Sales Manager. His duties included building the commercial brand for Alex MacWilliam Real Estate as well as personal commercial sales production. Hart has acquired over a dozen listings representing millions of dollars in listing value.

He recently served as a Capital Campaign Co-Chair for the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce and has served two terms as President of the Board.  Hart served six years as a Board member for the Indian River County United Way (1997-2003) chairing various committees. He also served four years on the Board of the Education Foundation of Indian River County (1997-2001) serving one year as President (2000) and serving as a chairman for various committees. In addition, Hart has been actively involved with the American Cancer Society, the Treasure Coast Advisory Board for Florida Atlantic University and the Vero Beach Museum of Art Board of Directors.

Hart is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta Georgia and began his professional career with Lockheed Aircraft Corporation in Marietta Georgia before pursuing a career in banking a few years later.

When he is not working, Hart enjoys traveling, weight training, photography and outdoor activities such as golf, hiking, and kayaking.
