Donna Marie Maxwell, 78, died July 6, 2010, at VNA Hospice House.
She was born in San Bernardino, Calif., and lived in Indian River Shores for 5 1-2 years.
She graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s of arts degree in piano performance. She was employed as the director of volunteer services at Good Samaritan Hospital, retiring in 1986.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach and Northminster Presbyterian Church, Cincinnati. She was also member of Cincinnati Woman’s Club, Alpha Delta Pi sorority, Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity Musica Sacra Chorus and Northwestern University Mortar Board.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Thomas L. Maxwell; sons, Preston W. Grounds III of Davidsonville, Md., James M. Grounds of Swaziland; daughters, Leslie A. Riddle of Colleyville, Texas, Sarah L. Minick of Boise, Idaho, Carol M. Brueggemeyer of Cincinnati, stepdaughters, Cynthia M. Mason and Jennifer L. Maxwell, both of Cincinnati, Cathryn M. Finke of Waukesha, Wis.; and 15 grandchildren.
