INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Workforce Solutions has announced the installation of three new officers: Soma Gail Melnick, in Indian River County, Chair; Angie Metcalf, in Martin County, Vice Chair; and Peter Kemp in Martin County, Treasurer.
“I accepted the position to serve on the board initially because I thought Workforce Solutions is a vital and well-run organization that supports the economy and has the best and most dedicated CEO around, Gwenda Thompson,” said newly elected board chair Soma Gail Melnick.. “My new position means I’ll have more opportunities than ever before to really make a difference.”
Melnick has been the Vice President of Human Resources and Administration for Macho Products, Inc. and MDI LLC, both of Sebastian, for the past 15 years.
Metcalf, who was raised in Fort Pierce, Florida, received an Accounting degree from Stetson University and an MBA from University of Florida and is now the Corporate Director of Human Resources for Martin Memorial Health Systems.
Kemp owns Huston’s Commercial Interiors and Huston’s Office Supplies and is married with three beautiful children.
This new leadership team will be responsible for implementing a new strategic plan crafted jointly by the Board and the Board’s staff.
