Michael Ogram, 71, died June 28, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Mobile, Ala., and lived in Vero Beach for seven years.
Before retirement in 1998, he was an aeronautical engineer for Lockheed Martin in Orlando. He was one of three instrumental engineers for the mechanical design of the Patriot Missile System, used during Desert Storm operations.
He held numerous other highly secretive and important programs for the military. He obtained his master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Florida in 1962.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene C. Ogram of Vero Beach; stepdaughter, Sherri Shields of Lenox, Mass.; stepson, Christopher Lawrence of Marysville, Wash.; and five grandchildren.
Private services will be at a later date.
