Ora Oliver Clark Braxton, 92, died May 20, 2010, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
She was born in Avoca, N.Y., and lived in Sebastian for five years, coming from Barefoot Bay.
She was a homemaker and a lab technician before marrying.
She was a member of the area’s Daughters of the American Revolution and of Concordia Lutheran Church, Barefoot Bay. She attended school in Phelps, N.Y., and later graduated from from Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, N.Y.
Survivors include her daughter, Lyn Hammond of Sebastian; sons, John Braxton of Nashville, Tenn., and Lauren Braxton of Houston; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Marshall Braxton; sister, Phoebe Pfuntner; and brothers, Donald Clark and Oscar Oliver.
