Presley Jackson Sr., 91, died May 1, 2010, at Kindred Hospital in Melbourne.
He was born in Gainesville and was a longtime resident of Indian River County. He was an entrepreneur and owned multiple businesses in Indian River County.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church in Gifford. He was a member of the American Legion Post 181.
Survivors include his sons, Presley Jackson Jr. and Holly E. Jackson, both of Vero Beach; daughters, Roberta Stokes of Jacksonville, Carolyn Jackson of Lantana, Norma “Jean” Holmes of Vero Beach and Gail Thomas, of Orlando; brother, Thomas Jackson; sister, Phoebe Gipson of Vero Beach; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. May 7 at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel in Gifford. A service will be at 10 a.m. May 8 at St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church in Gifford. Burial will follow in Gifford Cemetery.
