John D. Friedlander, 90, died April 21, 2010, at Menorah Manor, St. Petersburg.
He was born in New Zealand and lived in Vero Beach.
He served in the Naval Reserve at Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. He attended the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Medicine where he received a master medical science degree.
He was a life member of the American Orthodontic Association and American Dental Association, past president of Erie County Dental Association and B’nai Brith and a member of Erie Rotary and the local Power Squadron.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Friedlander of St. Petersburg; son, David J. Friedlander; daughter, Michelle J. Friedlander; sisters, Gertrude Pizer and Rita Adler of New Zealand; brother, Phillip Friedlander of Australia; and four grandchildren.
