Jeane Sloan Graves, 76, died April 17, 2010, at her residence.
She was born in West Palm Beach and lived in Vero Beach for 54 years. She was a graduate of the University of Florida and Florida Atlantic University and was a teacher for 10 years at Rosewood Elementary School.
She was part-owner of Hubert Graves Packing Co. Inc., and a chef with the family business, Hibiscus Coffee and Tea in Vero Beach.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Vero Beach; the Rose Circle with the Garden Club of Vero Beach; Exchange Club CASTLE in Fort Pierce; Treasure Coast Chef’s Association; and the Pelican Yacht Club, Fort Pierce.
Survivors include her husband of almost 54 years, Hubert Graves Jr. of Vero Beach; daughters, Janie Graves Hoover, Jeane Graves Bartlett and Alice Julia (Judy) Graves, all of Vero Beach; sister, Jane Sloan Banack of Fort Pierce; and six grandchildren.
