VERO BEACH — Peggy Noonan, a political columnist and former speechwriter for then-Vice President George H.W. Bush, will start off the Emerson Center Celebrated Speakers Series for 2011.Noonan is a much sought after political commentator and her latest book is Patriotic Grace, which came out in 2008. She will be at the Emerson Center on Jan. 15, 2011. She will be followed by conservative humorist P.J. O’Rourke on Feb. 5; former President Jimmy Carter’s National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski, will speak on Feb. 26; moderator and managing editor of Washington Week Gwen Ifill will speak on March 19 and rounding out the series will be Nobel Prize winning economist Paul Krugman on April 9.Wilmington Trust is the new presenting sponsor for the series, which has added a fifth speaker for the first time.
