Satin Anna Modesitt, 28, Vero Beach

Satin Anna Modesitt, 28, died March 16, 2010 at her residence in Vero Beach.

She was born in Fort Lauderdale and lived in Vero Beach for 26 years coming from Fort Lauderdale. She was an instructor for the American Red Cross, a certified CNA instructor and prepared many local people for their CNA exams.

She was also involved as a volunteer with the Indian River County Fire Rescue, active in the Adopt a US Soldier Program and with helping many others.

She attended St. Marks Anglican Church in Vero Beach and assisted in the Sunday school nursery program.

Survivors include her son, Jacob Modesitt, Jacob’s father Sam Modesitt, her father, John L. Boland, Jr., mother, Cynthia Boland, sister, Alison Boland, Jacob’s grandparents James and Jean Mercer, all of Vero Beach. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews and cousins throughout the country.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jacob Modesitt Educational Fund, c/o RBC Bank, 958 20th Place, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm on March 19, 2010 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m. on March 20, 2010 at the Strunk Funeral Home Chapel.
