John “Jack” Kenny, 62, died Feb. 26, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Albany, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 5 1-2 years, coming from his birthplace.
He was a Navy veteran, serving in the Vietnam War, was a member of the American Legion and attended St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
Survivors include his daughters, Megan Ruggiero and Jude Kenny-Partisano, both of Vero Beach; mother, Marion Kenny of Albany; brothers, Joseph O’Conner of West Sand Lake, N.Y., and Terry Kenny of Clifton Park, N.Y.; sister, Karen Phelan of Clifton; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edmond Kenny; and son, Sean Kenny.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. March 2 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with a wake service at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. March 3 at St. Helen Catholic Church.
