Michael “Mickey” Mascia, 84, died Jan. 29, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born in New Haven, Conn., and lived in Vero Beach since 1956, coming from New York. He was an Army veteran, serving with the Combat Engineers during World War II.
He was a musician working in numerous clubs in New York and continued working as a musician in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Martha; daughter, Michele Nolte of Vero Beach; sister, Rose Vece of Connecticut; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Fonte; and a grandchild.
