VERO BEACH — Cause for Paws 2010 will celebrate its 26th Anniversary, to benefit the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County with a Preview Party and the Main Auction.
Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club will be the gala scene for the Cause for Paws Preview Party enjoyed by major donors on Tuesday, March 23, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. As always, the event will feature a variety of very select silent auction treasures available for bidding and immediate purchase that evening. This, the more formal part of the two-evening Cause for Paws extravaganza, is graciously being given by Sally Anderson, JoAnn Becker, Sandy Crowell, Betsy Forrester, Ginny Schwerin, Jean Shropshire and Maria Whittle.
Saturday, March 27, the benefit’s venue changes to the Vero Beach Museum of Art, and from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., a huge selection of silent auction items awaits spirited bidding amid an atmosphere of cocktails and bountiful hors d’oeuvres. The Live Auction featuring enchanting trips, fine art, jewelry, antiques and more to entice the most discerning will commence at 8:00 on Auction night with Ed Meade of Class Act Productions assisting Wesley Davis, auctioneer. Tickets to Cause for Paws are $100. Tickets to both the Preview Party and Cause for Paws are $200 for Patrons, $350 for Benefactors, $500 for Major Benefactors and $1000 for Silver+ Sponsors.
Proceeds from both events help to provide the necessary care and shelter for our county’s 7,000+ lost, homeless, neglected and abused animals, which will arrive at the Shelter this year.
