Ray Ladd, 75, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010.
He leaves behind his brother Richard who resides in Jacksonville, N.C., his sister Susan Bond who resides in Rhode Island, his sons Raymond(deceased) Mark, David, Brian and Douglas who reside in south Florida and his stepsons Mark, Jason and Chris Wehr who also reside in Florida. He leaves behind six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
He was born in Boston, on May 4, 1934, to Virginia Leighton Ladd and Clifton Ladd.
Ray will be missed by many of his friends whom knew him from his years as a golf pro in the Sebastian area and as the original pro at the Sebastian Golf Course.
He was passionate about golf and he owned and operated Golf Outlet/Classic Golf in Sebastian.
For more than a year, Ray had spent a lot of his time with Brenda MacDonald, whom he cared for deeply.
A memorial service will be held at the Saint Sebastian Catholic Church, located at 13075 US Highway 1, Sebastian, Florida 32958 at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2010.
