David W. Reid, 88, died Jan. 17, 2010, at the VNA Hospice House.
He was born in Fitchburg, Mass., and lived in Vero Beach for 31 years, coming from Maryland Collage Park. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach and volunteered with the Indian River Rescue Squad and Medical Center.
Survivors include his son, James Reid of Oak Island, N.C.; daughters, Nancy Jones of Ocean City, Md., and Janet Morrison of Oakdale, Conn.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife 63 years, Vanda C. Reid, and daughter, Sharon Reid Waston.
