VERO BEACH – Travel to Palm Beach with the Vero Beach Museum of Art on Friday, February 26 for Art & Mozart. Visit the Norton Museum of Art which is hosting Habsburg Treasures: Renaissance Tapestries from Vienna that features eight gigantic wall hangings from the tapestry collection of the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna. You will also see Reclaimed: Paintings from the Collection of Jacques Goudstikker, featuring recovered artworks as well as archival material that bring to life the tragic episode of one of the most important Dutch dealers of Old Master Paintings, whose gallery was looted by the Nazis during WWII.
Following an “east meets west” dinner at the Kona Grill, the group will attend an early evening performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Kravis Center. Of the many operas based on the legend of Don Juan, Don Giovanni, which blends comedy, melodrama and supernatural elements, is thought to be beyond comparison.
