Learn about Harvest Food & Outreach Center during upcoming tours

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – The Harvest Food & Outreach Center is inviting the community to attend one of several Hope Begins with You Tours of their facilities. Families on the Treasure Coast are more in need of help than ever before, and the tours provide a way to get to know who they are and what they do, and learn how others might lend a helping hand. There will be tours of the campus and Crisis Center and visitors will learn about Harvest Food & Outreach Center’s Hunger Relief Program and the other outreach programs they offer. Tour dates and times are:  Jan. 13 at 9 a.m., Jan. 20 at noon, Jan. 27 at 5:30 p.m., Feb. 3 at 9 a.m., Feb. 10 at noon, Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m., Feb. 24 at 9 a.m., Mar. 3 at noon, Mar. 10 at 5:30 p.m., and March 17 at 9 a.m.The tours are one-hour, food will be provided and no financial requests will be made.

 

 

The mission of the Harvest Food and Outreach Center, located at 1360 28th Street in Vero Beach, is to provide the resources and tools that help local families in need fight hunger, overcome personal crisis, and prevent homelessness. “We do this by offering food and clothing assistance, social work that is personalized and caring, and educational opportunities at a campus that provides hope,” organizers said.
