Bettie Romaine Lange, 78, died Dec. 17, 2009, at Indian River Medical Center.
She was born in Kingsburg, Calif., and lived in Vero Beach since 1988, coming from Newport, R.I. She was a personnel director for the Navy.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Republican Women.
Survivors include her son, William Neves of Idaho; daughter, Barbara Litton of Modesto, Calif.; son, John Chaplin of Vero Beach; sister, Caroline; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Bert Jr.; and sister, Jo.
