Paul Roger Woods, 67, Vero Beach

Paul Roger Woods, 67, of Vero Beach, died Saturday, Dec. 5 at Indian River Medical Center. He was born Aug. 2, 1942 in Middletown, Conn., and had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1977 coming from his birthplace. He received his BA degree in History from the University of Connecticut. Mr. Woods retired from the U.S. Postal Service after more than 20 years. He is survived by his son, Daniel Woods of Vero Beach; 2 sisters, Linda Woods and Judy Norton both of Connecticut; brother, Charlie Woods of Connecticut and 1 grandson. A memorial service will be held at the Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 4.30 p.m. with Rev. John Robbins officiating. VERO BEACH — While chilly temperatures caused a drop in beach attendance last month, lifeguards are happy to report that there were no water rescues that occurred in January. ‘Tragic, sudden loss,’ – Memorials emerge for teen killed in ATV crash

With the sudden death of Sebastian River High School student Jake Beecher still fresh, family, friends, teammates and coaches continue to come to terms with the tragic crash that took his life.
