VERO BEACH — Childcare Resources of Indian River has kicked off its campaign to open the Childcare Resources of Indian River Education Center, located in leased space on the campus of Trinity Episcopal Church in Vero Beach. The Education Center is slated to open its doors on July 1, 2010 and will be used exclusivelyby Childcare Resources.
The five-classroom childcare center will provide full-time quality early care and education for 53 infants, toddlers and preschoolers of income-eligible families’ ages 6 weeks to 4 years. Thirty-five of these available spots will be reserved for infants and toddlers.
The Education Center is the culmination of a long recognized need in Indian River County for more quality, affordable infant and toddler care for working families. The Education Center will serve qualified families living in Indian R

Childcare Resources has made the commitment to raise start-up costs of $275,000, which will renovate and furnish the existing classroom space, employ an education staff and care for children in the Education Center. Childcare Resources will continue contracting with existing, accredited childcare centers in the community for the care and education of 43 children. Childcare Resources will serve 96 children total in 2010-2011.
