VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Museum of Art and VBMA Friends committee invite the public to its 18th Annual Antiques Show & Sale on January 8-10, 2010. The show features 38 renowned dealers, under the management of Charles Miller, Miller, Hamilton Company, presenting 18th and 19th century Americana including furniture, jewelry, art, glassware, porcelains, and collectibles in room settings throughout the Museum. The show is one of Florida’s most celebrated and enduring displays of antiquities with a reputation for quality and variety that attracts antique-lovers and collectors from around the state and the southeast. Proceeds benefit the Museum’s education programs. The Antiques Show & Sale kicks off on Thursday, January 7 with a reservation-only Patron Reception from 5 to 6 p.m. (followed by the preview party) at a cost of $150 per person. The Preview Party runs from 6 to 8:30 pm at a cost of $100 per person. Both feature pre-show dealer access, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres.
The cost of the weekend show is $10, which includes unlimited re-entry throughout the show. Show hours are Friday, Jan. 8, 10 am – 5 pm; Saturday, Jan. 9, 10 am – 5 pm; and Sunday, Jan. 10, 10 am – 4 pm.
The show features appraisals on Friday, Jan. 8, 10 am – 3 pm and Saturday, Jan. 9, 10 am – 3 pm. Appraisals are $15 per item (3 item maximum) plus show admission.
