Mr. Marion J. Sanders, 93, died Oct. 27, 2009 at Palm Garden of Vero Beach.
He was born in Tiffin, Ohio and lived in Vero Beach for 5 years coming from Sebastian.
Mr. Sanders served in the U.S. Army National Guard during World War II. He was employed by Ludington News, Detroit, for 35 years, before his retirement in 1978.
Mr. Sanders was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian, and the Polish American Social Club of Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Frances L. Sanders of Vero Beach; sons, James E. Sanders of Laredo, Texas and Darryl Sanders of Union Lake, Mich.; daughters, Carol A. Murphy of Sebastian, Sally J. Daniels of Warren, Mich.; and Pamela LaRocque of Sarasota; stepson, Phillip Reynolds of Woodbridge, Va.; sisters, Barbara Jesse of Shelby Township, Mich; Audrey Sanders of Troy, Mich. 17 grandchildren,15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary A. Sanders and stepdaughter, Karen Tyson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3333 Forest Hill Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Inturment will be in Resurrection Cemetery Clinton Township, Mich.
