VERO BEACH — The Festival of Trees, Vero Beach’s annual welcome to the holiday season, will take place the weekend of November 20-22 at the Agnes Wahlstrom Youth Playhouse and Anne Morton Theatre. Hands Around the World, this year’s theme, will provide an international twist to the event. Major sponsors are George E. Warren Corporation and Chelsea’s on Cardinal. A winter wonderland of decorated trees, wreaths, gingerbread houses and more will greet visitors.
Preview events on Friday, Nov. 20 include a Silver Bells Preview for low-income seniors at 9:30 a.m.
The Gala Preview Party features a cocktail reception, entertainment and the first opportunity to view the displays and participate in the Festival silent auction. The Gala Preview Party takes place on Friday, Nov. 20 from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person or $75 Junior Ticket (35 and under).
The festival will be open Saturday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vendor booths, children’s activities and entertainment will be on going. Tickets: Adults $7 & Children $3;
The popular Family Night will be held again on Nov. 21 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. where children are invited to participate in a pajama fashion show and a scavenger hunt – a Reindeer Seek-n-Find.Tickets $35 for a family of 4; $10 each additional person; children under two free.The Festival of Trees is the major fund raiser for Riverside Children’s Theatre. RCT’s mission is to provide affordable cultural enrichment and educational opportunities in drama, dance, film and technical theatre for youth ages 3 and up.
