Grant will help Riverside Children’s Theatre make classes affordable

VERO BEACH — The William Bingham Foundation, based in Cleveland, Ohio, has granted Riverside Children’s Theatre funding in the amount of $25,000 to assist in its development of new educational programming. This grant will enable RCT to make its programs more accessible and affordable by providing low cost and discounted classes, financial assistance to students, after school transportation to the theatre and a new school based program, Schoolsical that is scheduled to be implemented in county schools beginning in September. Pelican Island Elementary and Osceola Magnet School are the first to host the Schoolsical program. Auditions and rehearsals of “The Jungle Book, Kids’ will take place at these schools with final public performances on Dec. 5 and 6 in the Anne Morton Theatre, 3280 Riverside Park Drive.
