Blanche C. Kolbe, 84, of Vero Beach, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at The Place of Vero Beach. She was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Baltimore, Md., and moved to Vero Beach in 1989, coming from her birthplace.
Mrs. Kolbe worked on aircraft with “Rosie the Riveter” during WWII and spent 25 years as clerk with the Social Security Administration of Baltimore, Md., prior to her retirement. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Lloyd Kolbe; son, Lloyd Kolbe, of Bloomington, Ind.; daughter, Bonnie Kirkpatrick, of Vero Beach; brother, Joseph Cossentino, of Vero Beach; and a granddaughter. Mrs. Kolbe was predeceased by her sister, Julia Piccione.
Services will be private.
