VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Police Department has made a change in its Civilian Fingerprinting schedule. Starting immediately, fingerprinting will now be done only on Tuesdays from noon to 4 p.m. on a first come first served basis.”It’s more efficient this way,” said police spokesman Officer John Morrison. The department has made the changes to better utilize its resources, according to Morrison.”We are running shorthanded,” he said, noting that many members of the police department in various units were responsible for handling the civilian fingerprinting.Vero Beach residents can pay $5 to have their fingerprints entered into the system.
