Stanley F. Kolak Jr., 72, of Barefoot Bay, died July 20, 2009, at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian. He was born in Malden, Mass., and lived in Barefoot Bay for six years, coming from Nashua, N.H.
He served in the Army Air Corps. Before retirement, he was an electrical engineer. He was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Polish American Club in Vero Beach, the Moose Lodge in Malden and the Sebastian River Model Train Club. Survivors include his wife of three years, Linda Kolak, of Barefoot Bay; sons, Frank S. Kolak, of Groton, Mass., and Steven G. Kolak, of Bedford, Mass.; stepsons, Alan D. Brown, of Nashua, and David O. Brown, of Beverly, Mass.; daughter, Valerie Mollo, of Wilmington, Mass.; mother, Amelia Hayes, of Austin, Texas; sisters, Jeanette Cosman, of Malden, and Theresa Eveleth, of Austin; and 11 grandchildren.Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory in Sebastian.
