Mary Thompson Lee, 97, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Saturday, June 6, 2009. She was born Dec. 21, 1911, in Washington, D.C., and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 14 years, coming from Camp Springs, Md. Mrs. Lee was a member of First Baptist Church, Vero Beach.She is survived by her daughter, Norma J. Martin, of Vero Beach; son, Edward M. Thompson, of Naples; sisters, Bertha West, of Dallas, and Katherine Williams, of Chicago; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.Mrs. Lee was predeceased by her husband, Custis Carter Lee; daughter, Barbara J. Lee; and her brother, George Anderson.A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, June 20, at First Baptist Church, Vero Beach, with inurnment to follow in the church memorial garden.Donations may be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960, in memory of Mrs. Mary Thompson Lee.Arrangements are under the direction of Thomas S.
