Indian River County verified 40 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, along with three new deaths, according to the Florida Department of Health county report. This raises the total amount of county cases to 10,739, while the death toll increased to 256.

The numbers in the reports are provisional and subject to change. Health officials said 114 out of the 256 Indian River County deaths were at long-term care facilities.

There have been 640 COVID-19 hospitalizations in Indian River County, health officials said. The number of hospitalizations and county cases are both cumulative.

There were 21 people still hospitalized as of Saturday, according to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.

For the Indian River County cases among residents, 7,198 were white, 1,047 were black, 963 were listed as “other” and 1,440 were listed as “unknown.”

Statewide, the number of COVID-19 cases increased to 1,863,707, health officials said. The number of virus-related deaths increased to 30,339.

Indian River County verified 43 new COVID-19 cases Friday, according to the Florida Department of Health county report. This raises the total amount of county cases to 10,701, while the death toll remained at 253.

The numbers in the reports are provisional and subject to change. Health officials said 112 out of the 253 Indian River County deaths were at long-term care facilities.

There have been 636 COVID-19 hospitalizations in Indian River County, health officials said. The number of hospitalizations and county cases are both cumulative.

There were 21 people still hospitalized as of Friday, according to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.

Statewide, the number of COVID-19 cases increased to 1,856,427, health officials said. The number of virus-related deaths increased to 30,214.
