Urologist Dr. Hugo Davila joins Florida Healthcare Specialists

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Florida Healthcare Specialists (FHS), an affiliated practice of Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) announced that urologist Dr. Hugo Davila is joining the practice, effective June 20, 2016.

Dr. Davila will see patients at his Sebastian office, located at 1627 US 1, Suite 201, Sebastian. In July, he will add a second practice location in Vero Beach 3730 7th Terrace, Vero Beach.

After receiving his Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree, Dr. Hugo Davila was a Clinical Research Fellow from 1999-2001 at New York Presbyterian Hospital Cornell University, where he focused on Endourology, a specialized branch of minimally invasive urology involving surgical technologies and procedures as they apply to benign and malignant diseases of the genitourinary tract.

From 2001 to 2004, Dr. Davila was a Postgraduate Research Fellow at the University of California Los Angeles Center of Health and Sciences, Department of Urology, and then continued his education as a research fellow at the University of South Florida in the Sexual Medicine Program in the Department of Urology.

Dr. Davila completed his internship and residency at the University of South Florida in General Surgery and Urology and also served as Chief Resident from 2009-2010. Prior to joining FHS, Dr. Davila served as the Director of Urology at St. Joseph Health Center in Tawas, Mich., and then went into practice with Indian River Urology. He is a Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association (AUA).
